More Murder Ballads...

Hey there! Some more characters for a personal project. Experimenting with lighting and rendering.

More Darren E Marshall. I love his sculptures!  Remind me to avoid foreshortened guitars...



I regard Milt Kahl as the best animator, and one of the finest draftsmen who's ever lived. I want to be able to be as expressive and skillful at visual storytelling as he was, one day. Stylistically I am more fond of the drawings of Bruce Timm, Claire Wendling, Matt Rhodes and Ben Caldwell though.



And please allow me to impose upon you this gem...

    Looking nice Johannes! Keep em flowing. I like the Kahl master study, simply because it's nice to see the black and white sketch next to your colored version : ) They complement each other nicely and give each other a new dimension.
